E-commerce or online business if you prefer is growing so rapidly because of the associated benefits it has. Working online allows a company to be open 24/7 unlike traditional shops, meaning customers can shop any place, any time of the day, think 3am boredom or getting ahead of the sales rush by going online instead!

A business needs fewer resources running online, it minimises the workload and staff needed to run it making it more convenient to all. If you’re a small operation it doesn’t matter as many aspects of e-commerce are automatic, making your job that little bit easier. To put this into perspective you have fewer overheads (no unnecessary paperwork processing, fewer bills etc.), there is less room for error and problems, your computer or database is your own receptionist. Could it be more convenient?



The instant nature of e-commerce appeals to the customer also, as it often means niche products can be sourced without difficulty, cutting out the middleman means the final product or service can be cheaper for the client, it’s just easier, especially if you find shopping traumatic (men in shoe shops) or it’s a surprise (gifts for loved ones!).
